Every year, the cava brand Freixenet splurges on a knock-out ad with the country’s celebrities du jour to announce their sparkling wine for the Christmas season. This year, the choreography goes with real dancers–Sara Baras, a stunning contemporary flamenco dancer, and José Carlos Martínez, the new director of the Compañía Nacional de Danza, after Nacho Duato’s retirement.
I received a newsletter from the CND that includes links to the commercial, as well as to other videos: the “making of” and this short doc (19 mins) where the dancers speak about their art. Since ’tis the season, and this is art and Baras and Martínez are two outstanding Spanish performers, I thought the video was worth sharing. Enjoy!
